CONTROLLER IS REQUIRED.
HOW TO PLAY
You have 60 seconds to live and must beat things up to refill that time. Keep a combo going to build up a multiplier. Getting maximum "Ritual" will summon a rock you can break to receive an eye. You can receive 3 eyes this way. There are 9 eyes in the game, you have to collect 3 and get to the center of the level to win. Try to master the game's unique traversal mechanics, solve its mysteries, and find each of the 4 endings!
CONTROLS
Left Stick - move
Right Stick - camera
LT - Lock-On
B - Punch/Zoom Punch
A - Jump/Hi Jump (Just after landing)/Bounce Punch (while in air)
X - Slip (Dodge)
Y - Spin Attack/Slam Attack (In air)
Point at enemies with the left stick to aim at them. If you press B while aiming, you'll do a Zoom Punch that'll let you close the distance almost instantly.
FEATURES
A non-linear open world character action 3D platformer musou survival game (or as I'm calling it: "Mystery Action Game") I made for Pompous Trash Jam 2025. Instead of telling the story of what happens in the game, I'll let you draw your own conclusion and say a few words about the game.
DEVLOG
I remade one of my first ideas starring one of my oldest original characters, reexamined through the lens of my current skills and ideas about video games and informed by hi-concept absurdist tragedies like Jojo Stone Ocean and Twin Peaks: The Return. The first version of this was some ms paint sprites I tried and failed to make fight each other in Game Maker. I've come quite a ways since then.
Although rough in this state, I feel I've captured the essence of my original vision for a game with one beginning state, one ending state, and an endless number of permutations between. A vague nightmare that defies explanation. A vicious expression of creativity in an interactive system. I could, and probably will, spend another 2 months iterating on this. I worked 10 hour days and had fun making this. In the spirit of Pompous Trash, I present it in this raw form. Whatever anyone else makes of it, mummy loves her little trainwreck, just as much as she does all of the others
This game is cludged together from a years old stash of 3D models, level templates, code, sounds, and character designs and built on top of an action-adventure framework I work on solo full-time.
